My sister did the second
Landmark Forum in Beijing. She did not say much
about it. But what ever little she said about the
Landmark Forum leader, Jerome Downes, impressed me.
So I went to attend the Evening Session of the
Landmark Forum with my sister. I found that the
Staff and the people who assist were really special.
Their care about others empowered me and I enjoyed
the experience of their love for people and the
unique atmosphere they generated because of that.
However, I didn’t see how much I could get from the
Landmark Forum, because I thought I’ve already know all that
the leader said. But I liked the space and the
people so much that I went three times to
Introduction to the Landmark Forum.
At the third one, a
graduate stood up and said something. I did not
remember what it was that was said, but something
opened up for me. I began to think that maybe this
Landmark Forum could do something good for me. I
began to create for myself that this Landmark Forum
can get me to where I have always wanted to be in my
life.
So I registered and attended the Landmark Forum in
October 2007. And I got to see
Jerome Downes in
person leading my course. He was even more
impressive in person. I was inspired by his great
leadership and skill to empower people. But more
importantly, he said something that I never thought
of before. He said that parents do not owe anything
to the children, but the children do owe their
parents. That made quite a difference to me.
On the evening of Day 2
of the Landmark Forum, I called my mother and sister to share
what I got that day and thanked them for what they
have been doing for me. Our relationship has been
totally different since then. It has flourished
beyond my expectation.
During the Landmark Forum I began to get that all my
life I was driven to prove that I was good. I had to
be good son, good friends, good student. etc. Most
likely everybody knew this about me. But I never saw
that until I attended the Landmark Forum. I saw how
resigned and tired I was of my own tunnel vision.
Something shifted for me in a profound, but yet very
simple way. I created the possibility of life for
making a difference, for contributions and for
greatness.
Now about 2 years later, that possibility I created
has transformed my life in a way that I never could
imagine before I did the Landmark Forum. I had my
attention not so much about how good I needed to be.
Instead I listened to what is important for people
in my life and make an effort to have their life
fulfilled.
I shared about what I have gotten and as a result,
my mother and my friends did the Landmark Forum. It
gave me deep satisfaction whenever they shared how
great their lives are becoming. Life still has
challenges like before, but it is no more a resigned
life that I used to live before. It is now a life in
which I can create great possibility and for which I
have great pleasure of and am privileged to live.
I think every one should do the
Landmark Forum
because the benefits people get from this course are
just incredible and exceptional. I have seen over
and over, how people begin with the Landmark Forum
with complaints and boredoms. Then during the course
they recover their natural ability to take
responsibility for and to make a difference to
themselves and others. They become happier and
fulfilled. Families, communities and organizations
flourish because of this.
Another unexpected result of the Landmark Forum, I
have founded my own company. And it is successful
and thriving. I thought of many things that I could
do, like become a good economist, but I never
thought that I could do something like this, to be
an entrepreneur and created my own educational
company that give good service to our customers.
I assisted a lot for
Landmark Education in the
Beijing Office because it is my aspirations that
many more people can have access to its benefits. I
am grateful to all other overseas graduates, people
who assist, staff and the company itself for their
contributions and partnership to make it possible
for me, my loved ones, my associates and my
communities in China to have our own access to the
famous Landmark Education.
