I first heard about the
Landmark Forum from my friend Li Pin. I wanted to
know more about it. I asked her to explain it to me
and she said, “I can not explain this to you.” I
found that very frustrating. Much later, after I did
the Landmark Forum myself, I understood that
information alone might not make a difference if I
was not committed to anything.
But that day, there was one thing that my friend
said that shocked me. She said, “ … if you do the
Landmark Forum, you will never lose yourself again.”
That really said something to me; because at that
time, I was not really clear of what my life was all
about. Of course I never showed this to people. If
anyone asked me anything I knew something to say
about everything. Outwardly I was a very successful
person. I was a yoga teacher at that time, and I
received the best award at the Beijing City Yoga
Competition.
A month later I saw my friend Li Pin again. She
changed a lot, she looked gorgeous! I asked her,
“What happened to you?” Again she said that she did
not know what happened and that was not important.
But that she now worked for Landmark Education!
Two weeks later I attended the Introduction to the
Landmark Forum in Beijing. Jenny Zhang is a great
leader; she said that knowing something does not
make any difference. Knowing a lot is no guarantee
for the ability to apply the knowledge. She said it
in such a way that it made a huge positive impact
for me. She shared about the technology of the
Landmark Forum about our lives and about the past,
the present and the future. I was enrolled and I
registered for the Landmark Forum in Beijing.
At the Landmark Forum I was the first person to be
coached by our Landmark Forum Leader, Jerome Downes.
I was dealing with my inability to express myself. I
shared that one day I came home and my boyfriend at
that time was playing computer game. The house was a
mess. I opened the kitchen, and dirty dishes were
everywhere. And I did not say anything. I pretended
that everything was OK. I did not get angry at all.
Jerome Downes coached me patiently and with great
expertise, to the point that something major shifted
in who I was being. I resolved unresolved issues
that I did not even know were there. Through the
process I was able to look at my life and relive it
like I never thought was possible. I left my past in
the past and my present life opened up for the
creation of the future. It was a remarkable occasion
for me. At that event Jerome thanked me for letting
him coach me. But the truth is, I am very grateful
to Jerome Downes and to Landmark Education.
I think everybody should do the Landmark Forum,
because I think we live our lives without really
being alive. As a result of the Landmark Forum I
have the freedom to create my life instead of being
a victim of the circumstances of my life. Landmark
Education delivered something that really matters to
me and what I care deeply for myself.
Today I can get angry to anyone if I want to. I can
get moved as deep as I want and cry with no shame. I
can have the sweetest laughter and most joyous
feeling if I want to. I have full self expression
and peace of mind. But most of all, I found myself
as someone who can make a difference to myself and
to others - and that’s worth everything to me.
